DROVION is developing a hybrid-powered multipurpose aircraft family designed to address long-range logistics, special missions, and advanced air mobility applications where endurance, operational flexibility, and reduced ground-infrastructure dependency are critical.

XAEROS - Powering the Vision

At the heart of these aircraft is a groundbreaking hybrid propulsion system, combining one electric motor with two internal combustion engines to deliver optimal efficiency and safety. With system power setups ranging from 200 kW to 440 kW, this design offers versatility for a wide range of applications, from urban air mobility to long-range cargo missions.

The redundancy built into the propulsion system ensures continuous power delivery to critical components, enhancing reliability during extended flights. Notably, the hybrid engine also recharges the drive battery during cruise flight, guaranteeing a fully charged battery for energy-intensive operations such as landings and take-offs. This capability allows the aircraft to seamlessly transition between flights, maximizing operational efficiency.

Final propulsion configuration, certification basis, and integration architecture remain subject to detailed engineering, supplier validation, and regulatory approval.

Manned eCTOL

The development of the DROVION product line begins with the manned electric Conventional Take-Off and Landing (eCTOL) variant. This aircraft is designed with a single-pilot configuration and is equipped to meet the demands of modern aviation. It features a full Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) setup, ensuring reliable operation in diverse weather conditions and airspace environments.

The aircraft is optimized for cargo operations, boasting a spacious cargo hold that accommodates up to three EURO pallets. With a maximum payload capacity of 1,000 kg, the DROVION eCTOL is well-suited for a wide range of logistical and commercial applications, making it a robust and efficient solution for operators seeking environmentally conscious and high-performance capabilities.

Unmanned eVTOL

The unmanned eVTOL aircraft will serve as the flagship product of the DROVION family, embodying the pinnacle of innovation and technological advancement within the product lineup. This cutting-edge aircraft will be introduced as the final model in the DROVION portfolio, reflecting its strategic importance and the complexity of its development.

The unmanned eVTOL variant is being designed with the objective of supporting FIKI-capable operations, subject to certification programme, technical validation, and regulatory approval.. It will be engineered to accommodate up to four EURO pallets, enabling efficient transport of substantial cargo loads. With a payload capacity of up to 500 kg, the aircraft will cater to a wide range of logistics and transport needs, offering a versatile solution for industries prioritizing speed, efficiency, and sustainability.
